Green Party seeks candidates for local office
The Green Party of Monroe County announced today that it is seeking candidates for local elections set to occur this November.
“As a political party independent of the status quo policies of the Democratic and Republican parties, we look forward to presenting an alternative political vision during the coming campaign season. We invite all Monroe County residents to consider taking a stand this November, for a political and economic system that prioritizes our communities and our ecosystems over corporate greed and destruction, by running for political office,” said Scott Brant, Chair of the Candidate Endorsement Committee.
The Green Party supports a people's political movement independent of the Democratic and Republican parties. In order to receive the endorsement, candidates must be enrolled Greens or not affiliated with any of the other existing constituted parties.
Any interested parties are invited to submit a questionnaire to the Party's Candidate Endorsement Committee, by March 31st via email (GPOMCcampaigns@gmail.com) or mail (PO Box 19803, Rochester, NY 14619). Endorsements will be announced in early May. Questionnaires may be downloaded from http://s.coop/1fnql.
