Volunteer

The work of a political movement requires people of all skill sets.  So consider getting involved today with some of the following tasks:

  • Website development
  • Graphic design
  • Canvassing
  • Parade float construction
  • Meeting facilitation
  • Data management
  • Social media
  • Political education
  • Phone banking
  • Media relations
  • Fundraising
  • Campus organizing
  • Interpretation & translation

Much of this work is done by our Party's committees, all of which report to our Steering Committee and party officers.  Existing committees include:

  • Fundraising
  • Candidate Endorsement
  • Platform

Please let us know if you are interested in helping out.

I would like to write articles, reviews, essays, "citizen journalism" for a Green Party blog. I can research a topic, find journal articles to "unpack" for people trying to understand American life.

I am a retired English/Special Education teacher from the BFLO public schools. I have 60 doctoral credits from U.B. and studied critical literacy at the U. of R. I am developing my political arena writing skills and developing a comprehensive political/economic analysis of my own. My interest is in educating myself and the public.

I read alternative journalism, sociology and history. Chris Hedges, Henry Giroux, Richard Wolf, Bill Moyers, Howard Zinn, Sheldon Women etc. etc. Presently I am working on a review of a Robert McChesney article on journalism, the first amendment, journalism and the progressive movement, and the gradual take over of American journalism by five major corporations. The corporate media is a mousepiece for wealthy capitalists. They use propaganda, slant news so that it focuses on business, and ignores the struggles of working people is exploits.
