July Monthly Meeting on Cooperative Economics

Gael Orr will be joining us to discuss the history and mechanics of worker cooperatives, with a focus on Once Again Nut Butters. Once Again has been a successful democratically-controlled workplace since its founding in 1976 and has been active in promoting the expansion of cooperatives across the world.

One of the Green Party's Ten Key Values is Community-Based Economics. Almost any form of economic activity in society has at some point been carried out by a democratically-controlled cooperative. The Green Party of Monroe County believes that establishment and expansion of the cooperative movement in Monroe County is the best way forward for our communities.
