Green Party Gubernatorial Candidate in Rochester to Perform One-Person Play

Green Party Gubernatorial candidate, Malachy McCourt, will be in Rochester on Saturday, October 28th to perform his one-man show as a fundraiser for his campaign entitled "You Don’t Have to be Irish to Vote for Me". McCourt’s show is an autobiographical, one-Gubernatorial Candidate show consisting of a song, a poem and a story or two guaranteed to insult politicians.

With him will be Lt. Governor Candidate, Alison Duncan who will be performing a few musical numbers. Opening the show will be locally renowned musician and host of the cable access TV show GreenLine, Deborah Magone.

The cost is $25 per person. All proceeds go to the McCourt/Duncan campaign and are not tax deductible.

Malachy McCourt has been the recipient of awards from numerous organizations, has written plays, books and magazine columns. He has also performed in numerous television shows and has been a regular guest on a number of late-night talk shows.

McCourt and Duncan are running as part of the Green Party’s New York Peace Slate which includes Howie Hawkins for US Senate, Julia Willebrand for Comptroller and Rachel Triechler for Attorney General. All five candidates espouse the Green Party’s four pillars: Grassroots Democracy, Social & Economic Justice, Ecological Responsibility and Non-Violence.
