Folks, if you haven't been following the media coverage or going to the candidate forums, Alex is taking no prisoners. He's running neck & neck with the other two candidates and as usual with Greens, is bringing some serious solutions to our city's problems.
You've been waiting for an election in Rochester where the Green has a chance. Well, this is it. But it's not a slam dunk. We still need your help, whether you live in the city or not. Here's what you can do:
"Like" Alex's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/alexwhiteformayor ), then share posts about Alex's campaign with YOUR Facebook friends.
Help us continue to spread the word about Alex White and his campaign. Here's what we're doing to continue that:
*Alex will be at the Public Market on Saturday from 7am to Noon. Feel free to come down and help him talk to voters and pass out campaign literature.
*Immediately following the Public Market on Saturday, we will be going door-to-door. We will be meeting in the parking lot at 333 Humboldt Street. People will pair up, get their campaign t-shirts and walk lists and hit the streets. It's fun and a great way to see part of our beautiful city.
*We will also be going door-to-door on Sunday. Meet us at the Ant Hill Cooperative, 960 S. Plymouth Ave at 11am. Same thing as the day before.
If you can't make those times but want to meet up during the door-to-door time, just give Dave a call and set it up. (315-7687)
Monday brings us more phone banking. In fact, it's a phone banking party! We will be meeting at Brighton Securities, 1703 Monroe Avenue from 6-9pm. Come for the whole thing or just part of the time. Either way, the pizza's on us. Just don't make calls with your mouth full :-)
And Tuesday is Election Day. Obviously, get out and vote for Alex! The polls are open from 6am - 9pm. If you're not sure where to vote, go to http://www.monroecounty.gov/apps/voterapp.php . Then help us out some more! There's sign waving and phone calling to do as long as the polls are open. You can call Dave (315-7687) to find out what is needed or just show up at Alex's store, 891 Monroe Avenue.
This is the moment we've all been waiting for. A victory by Alex White will bring more Green candidates, more Green victories and an end to this ridiculous monopoly that the corporate parties have over our community. Join us and make it happen!
Oh...and we will be celebrating on Tuesday night. We're still confirming the details so stay tuned.
