Monday, September 4th we will be participating, once again, in the Rochester Labor Day Parade and you are invited to join us! We have retired our sunflower puppet and instead we will be bringing our bicycles, skates, rollerblades, little red wagons, etc. (You can just march, too)
This year is a special parade as the workers at the Crowne Plaza Hotel are trying to organize - and meeting with heavy resistence from management. So this year, the parade will end at the State Street hotel.
We will be meeting at the corner of East Avenue & Sibley Place by 10:30am. (We have been told that there will be no animals allowed in the parade this year, so please leave your dogs, cats, goldfish, etc at home)
Wear Green and come support the Rochester labor community! See you there!
For more info, you can swing over to the Rochester Labor Council's site.

Democratic Food for Thought
There are many "progressive" Democrats who are all warm and fuzzy over Ned Lamont's primary win over Joe Lieberman. But before they go and start popping the champagne corks, they may want to check these out:
This is a link to video of Howard Dean on Meet the Press. While he does an OK job of talking about Lamont & Lieberman, when asked about other Dems who don't call for the removal of troops from Iraq (Hello, Hillary), his answer isn't that "progressive" which shows where the party is.
And this post from Linda Schade from Voters for Peace is a nice compliment.
